BOMA International Elects 2013-2014 Officers

Richard W. Greninger Elected Chair and Chief Elected Officer


SAN DIEGO, CA--(Marketwired - Jun 25, 2013) - The Building Owners and Managers Association (BOMA) International elected its 2013-2014 officers at the 2013 Every Building Conference & Expo in San Diego.

The Board of Governors of BOMA International elected:

  • Richard W. Greninger, CPM, Managing Director, Carr Properties, Washington, D.C., as Chair and Chief Elected Officer for 2013-2014;
  • John G. Oliver, CPM, BOMA Fellow, Managing Principal, Oliver & Company, Atlanta, Ga., as Chair-Elect;
  • Kent C. Gibson, CPM, BOMA Fellow, President, Capstone Property Management, L.C., Salt Lake City, Utah, as Vice Chair; and
  • Daniel W. Chancey, RPA, Vice President, Senior Asset Manager, Commercial Advisors Asset Services, LLC, Memphis, Tenn., as Secretary/Treasurer.

Rich Greninger, who served as BOMA International's Chair-Elect for the 2012-2013 term, has 35 years of experience in commercial real estate encompassing acquisition, financing, leasing, operational management and dispositions. He has served as Chairman of BOMA/Metropolitan Washington and Chair of BOMA International's National Advisory Council (NAC). Greninger has testified before the United States Congress and Senate on behalf of BOMA International and, in 2009, he was honored with the Sidney Glassman Award, BOMA/Metropolitan Washington's lifetime achievement award. At Carr Properties, Greninger is Managing Director of a 30-property office portfolio totaling approximately five million square feet located in the greater Washington, D.C. region.

John Oliver has held elected leadership positions for BOMA Georgia since 1988, including serving as President. He has also played an active role at the regional and international levels, including serving as Vice Chair of BOMA International during the 2012-2013 term and as the Chair of BOMA's National Advisory Council for three terms. In 2010, Oliver was honored with BOMA Georgia's Huey Award in recognition of his dedicated service and was voted the Southern Region Member of the Year. His recent work experience has included serving as Managing Director with Wells Real Estate Funds.

Kent Gibson has more than 25 years of industry experience. He served as Secretary/Treasurer of BOMA International during the 2010-2011 term and has chaired the BOMA International Audit Committee, Finance Committee, Floor Measurement Standards Committee and Voluntary Codes and Standards Committee. Gibson has contributed to several BOMA floor measurement standards, including Office Buildings: Standard Methods of Measurement (ANSI/BOMA Z65.1-2010) and Gross Area of a Building: Standard Methods of Measurement (ANSI/BOMA Z65.3-2010). He also has served as President of BOMA Utah.

Dan Chancey served two terms on BOMA International's Executive Committee and as President of BOMA/Memphis for three terms. He helped develop the strategies for the BOMA One baseline standards, has served as Chair of the BOMA 360 Performance Program® Council and has worked on the Green Task Force and Audit and Finance Committees. Chancey currently serves as Vice President Senior Asset Manager with Commercial Advisors Asset Services, LLC in Memphis, Tenn.
