Bombardier Regional Aircraft: Media Advisory & Invitation

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - July 13, 2005) - On Friday, July 15, 2005, Bombardier Regional Aircraft and Air New Zealand will hold a special ceremony to mark the delivery of a Bombardier Q300 50-seat turboprop airliner to Air New Zealand. The ceremony, involving the management and employees of Bombardier Regional Aircraft, Air New Zealand, Air Nelson, and invited guests, will commence at 2:00 p.m. at Bombardier's Toronto Site.

The Q300 aircraft is the first of Air New Zealand's firm order for 17 announced on October 10, 2004. The order also includes options on an additional 10 Q300 and 13 Q400 70-seat aircraft. Air New Zealand's wholly owned regional airline, Air Nelson, will operate the aircraft in domestic service as Air New Zealand Link.

The ceremony will feature a colourful performance by Te Oho Rere, a group of Maori performers comprised of international flight attendants with Air New Zealand. Their performance will feature a number of traditional New Zealand songs and dances to induct the aircraft into the fleet. At the close of celebrations, the media will have opportunities for comments and photos with Mr. John Palmer, Chairman, Air New Zealand, Mr. Ralph Norris, Managing Director & CEO, Air New Zealand and Mr. Steven Ridolfi, President, Bombardier Regional Aircraft.

Representatives of the media joining us for this celebration, should register at the main reception area of the Bombardier Toronto Site, 123 Garratt Boulevard, Downsview no later than 1:30 p.m. to be escorted to the hangar for the ceremony which will last about 30 minutes.
