CHINCOTEAGUE, VA--(Marketwired - Apr 4, 2016) - Some things are meant to go together. On May 20^th and 21^st, the second-annual Saltwater Brew 'N' Que celebrates the perfect pairing of beer and barbecue with two days of tastings, competitions and entertainment.

"We have invited new breweries to attend, are offering more barbecue options for the public and have a great music line-up that everyone is sure to enjoy. The fun kicks off on Friday evening with the Mountaire People's Choice Wing Tasting Event. Attendees can purchase tickets ($5 for five) to sample the competition before casting a vote for their favorite. The day will also include food and live music.

The competition heats up on Saturday as barbecue takes center stage starting at 11am. Both amateur and professional barbecue masters compete in categories including best chicken, ribs and brisket. Last year's Grand Champion, Serial Griller, went home with a $1,200 prize.

Attendees will have plenty to fill the day before the BBQ Competition winners are announced at 5pm. In addition to food and drink vendors, live music and a kid's zone, craft beer tastings will be held until the last keg is tapped. This year's breweries include Charlottesville, VA's Starr Hill and Norfolk, VA's O'Connor Brewing Co.

After the winner of the BBQ Competition is announced, the celebration continues with an After Party at the Jackspot Restaurant in Chincoteague, VA, featuring live music and drink and appetizer specials.
