Borealis Announces Extension of Offer for Teranet

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 15, 2008) - Borealis Acquisition Corporation ("Borealis"), a special purpose investment entity managed by Borealis Infrastructure Management Inc., announced today that it has extended its previously announced offer (the "Offer") to acquire all of the outstanding trust units of Teranet Income Fund (TSX) ("Teranet") and all of the Class B limited partnership units of Teranet Holdings Limited Partnership to 5:00 p.m. (Toronto time) on October 31, 2008, unless withdrawn or further extended by Borealis.

Earlier today Teranet announced that its Board of Trustees was withdrawing its recommendation that unitholders not tender to the Offer. It also announced it was waiving the applicability of Teranet's Unitholder Rights Plan with respect to the Offer and would assist Borealis in its efforts to gain approval from the Province of Ontario. The purpose of the extension is to allow the other conditions of the Offer to be met or waived by such date.

All other terms and conditions of the Offer described in the takeover bid circular dated September 12, 2008 and related documents remain unchanged. Borealis will mail a formal notice of extension to unitholders.
