Bosch Transforms Kitchens With a Vast Selection of Premium Home Appliances at the 2007 Kitchen and Bath Show

LAS VEGAS, NV -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 7, 2007 -- Expanding its suite of premium kitchen appliances and continuing its "green" legacy, Bosch introduces its latest products that boast greater convenience, capacity and energy efficiency at the 2007 Kitchen and Bath Industry Show. At the forefront of induction cooking technology in Europe, Bosch is now proud to apply this expertise to its new induction cooktops that offer an efficient method of cooking with an unrivalled emphasis on safety. Energy efficiency is strengthened in Bosch's upgraded line of award-winning dishwashers, which includes the unique ECOOPTION™, which reduces energy consumption by up to 25% per cycle, and has already been added to the Nexxt® clothes washers. Championing convenience and increased capacity for its consumers, Bosch is also introducing an advanced line of wall ovens with a 4.7 cubic foot cavity -- the largest on the market -- as well as a number of refined updraft ventilation systems.

Induction Cooktop

Bosch brings its global expertise in energy efficient technology to the U.S. with its new induction cooktops. Bosch induction provides the ultimate in speed, convenience, cooking performance, clean up and above all, safety. Beyond the superior aspects of its technology, the lineup features unrivalled safety programs, including a Child Lock, which secures the cooktop against inadvertent use; an Anti-Overflow System, which automatically switches off the unit if liquids boil over onto its surface; the Small Utensils Detection, which sounds an alarm if a metal utensil is dropped on it; Residual Heat Indicator that warns if an element has been recently used and may be warm to the touch; Anti-Overheating System that shuts the unit off if the surface reaches more than 300° C; and an Automatic Stop System, which turns off the burner elements if they have been on for an extended period of time without any activity.

Wall Ovens

Offering a 30" cavity with 4.7 cubic feet of interior space -- the largest capacity in the marketplace -- Bosch introduces its new line of wall ovens available in a 300, 500 and 800 Series. All models are highlighted by a soft curved design, a large see-through section and a true two-hour self clean function.

The 300 and 500 Series are available in a 27" and 30" single or double convection/ thermal configuration, while the 500 also offers a unique 30" configuration with a microwave in one easy-to-install package. Distinct characteristics of the 500 line are retractable knobs and a flush to cabinetry appearance. The top-of-the-line 800 Series offers a single 30" convection model, while providing a 30" double oven and combination microwave unit. A glass touch screen control panel and a telescopic rack are the most notable features of this premium series.

Integra and Evolution Dishwashers

Already established as the quietest and most energy efficient in the industry, Bosch has upgraded its award-winning dishwasher lineup to make it even more convenient and eco-friendly. Each unit now features the unique ECOOPTION, which reduces energy consumption by up to an additional 25% when selected. The new reclassification of both the Evolution and the Integra lines will consist of a 300, 500 and premium 800 Series to allow consumers to pick the exact model and feature set to fit their individual lifestyle.

Additional new features include the advanced ECOSENSE Wash Management System™, a customized wash system that detects the soil level in the water, and QuickWash™, a 30-minute cycle that saves time and energy.

Ventilation

Expanding upon its superior line of ventilation, Bosch introduces several new products, including the stylish glass chimney hood, which adds aesthetic value to the kitchen while offering highly effective performance with its 600 CFM (cubic feet of evacuated air per minute) blowers and improved electric controls. With 400 CFM integrated and dual blowers, the new 29" Custom Inserts offer convenience with a simple slide control and dishwasher safe mesh filters. This option allows consumers to use the brand's powerful ventilation in their own custom hoods. Also, the new Speed OTR Microwave and Ventilation combination offers the best of both worlds with speed cooking and 300 CFM ventilation in one unit.
