BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - August 20, 2007) - Living Expositions Inc. today announced that The Boston Globe has signed on as an official print media sponsor for the Electronic Living Expo (ELX) Boston, to be held Feb. 15-17, 2008. More than 30,000 consumers are expected to attend the event, a first-ever exposition that addresses the growing interest and rapid pace of technology innovations in consumer electronics.

The Boston Globe, a wholly owned subsidiary of The New York Times Company, is the exclusive local paid daily newspaper media sponsor for ELX. As part of the media sponsorship partnership, The Boston Globe will host "The Boston Globe Internet Café" for attendees during ELX show hours in addition to conducting a special workshop presentation for attendees and providing promotional support for ELX. As a media sponsor, The Boston Globe will receive official media sponsor benefits, including exhibit space, access to the social media pressroom, and an opportunity to host partner displays from a select group of their advertisers, among other benefits.

"The Boston Globe is proud to be a sponsor of this ground-breaking event," said Scott Halstead, manager of event marketing for Boston Globe Media. "The advent of the first-ever consumer electronics show in the area is a testament to the thriving business culture in and around Boston. It is important that our brand be present at such an extraordinary event for today's home and personal electronics user."

"We are excited to have The Boston Globe sign on as an official media sponsor for ELX Boston," said Dave Garvin, ELX president. "As one of the oldest and most respected newspapers in the country, The Boston Globe is an important anchor to support our expo as we continue to gather partners for this unprecedented event."

Produced by Living Expositions Inc., ELX will showcase and demonstrate cutting-edge products and technologies in home entertainment, gaming, personal computing, mobile communications and more offered by leading manufacturers, retailers and services. Attendees will also have access to product introductions and demonstrations, interactive activities, live and online entertainment, how-to workshops and expert presentations. Additionally, Verizon Communications has signed on as the premier sponsor of ELX Boston.

The February event -- being held at the Bayside Expo Center -- is the first in a series of expositions around the country. Additional events for 2008 - 2009 are being planned in Seattle, Chicago, Miami and San Jose.
