Boston LASIK and Cataract Surgery Practice Opens New Location

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Oct 23, 2012) - Dr. Steven Nielsen, a surgeon specializing in laser eye surgery in Boston, is preparing to celebrate the grand opening of the Nielsen Eye Center's newest location. The Boston eye care practice will be opening a new location in the Stetson Building at 541 Main Street, Suite 110, Weymouth, MA 02190. Wednesday, October 17th marked the first day of operations in the new space.

The Nielsen Eye Center was originally established in 1991 and has since grown to offer comprehensive eye care and the latest technological advancements in diagnosing and treating conditions of the eye. Dr. Nielsen is expanding the size of the previous office to better provide patients with these latest advancements in technology and surgical techniques. When considering the new location, he says he wanted a space that would be equipped to handle the medical needs of his patients in a comfortable, state of the art facility. Dr. Nielsen believes that the larger space will allow for a greater range of testing, while also permitting the practice to extend their business hours. In choosing the location, Dr. Nielsen sought out a place that would be physically closer to other primary care providers -- a benefit for Boston LASIK surgery patients who need to travel between multiple doctors. The new office will be more accessible to other local medical services such as Harbor Medical Associates, South Shore Hospital, and Boston Children's Physicians.

Other conveniences the new space offers are an expanded parking lot and the option of valet parking. The Stetson Building office is positioned right off of Route 3, making it an easily accessible location for returning patients and easy to find for new patients. In addition, the new office will allow for the implementation of new techniques and technologies for the Nielsen Eye Center. The Boston LASIK surgeon says that the center will now be able to conduct more comprehensive testing for glaucoma, cataracts, and diabetic retinopathy, as well as give patients access to ongoing clinical trials.
