Boutique Hotel's 'Global Day of Discovery' Includes Music and Dance in Tampa

TAMPA, FL--(Marketwired - Jun 23, 2014) -  Inviting travelers to "Live Life to Discover," one of the top hotels near International Plaza in Tampa will provide an exclusive music and dance performance along with featured food and beverage specials in celebration of the Renaissance hotel brand's "Global Day of Discovery."

Setting the stage to help travelers make time to discover a better business trip, the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel is one of 155 Renaissance hotels around the world participating in this third annual event and invites guests to enjoy the talents of Nalisio Taveras and Son Salvaje from 6 to 9 p.m. on Thursday, June 26. Set to take place amidst the rich ambiance of the hotel lobby "Day of Discovery" guests can relax comfortably and enjoy the entertainment along with special menu items and drinks, available for just $5.

Nalisio Taveras is one of Tampa Bay's most in-demand artists. A singer, composer and musician, he directs Son Salvaje, a six-piece Latin band that specializes in salsa, merengue, bachata, cha cha and Latin jazz. Joining the musical group will be a dance troupe featuring Jorge Chaven, a dance instructor, competitive dancer and member of the Renaissance Tampa International Plaza Hotel team. The dance troupe will perform as well as provide dance lessons for guests.

"Day of Discovery" menu specials will include grilled marinated shrimp skewers, crispy tostones with traditional garlic aioli and made-to-order guacamole with chips. The evening's food will be prepared by the talented chefs of the hotel's own award-winning Pelagia Trattoria, where fine dining is defined through the tasty menus and delightful experience found inside what has often been praised as the best Italian restaurant in Tampa. Gabriella's Lobby Bar will be creating drinks for the occasion, with the unique menu of specials including a house-made sangria, Cigar City Jai Ali draft beer and Cuban Society (raspberry mojito).
