Prior to his past six years in private practice, Riordan served as Medical Director of the Renewal Center in Quakertown, PA, and worked on staff at the Middle Tennessee Mental Health Institute, Middle Tennessee Treatment Center and the VA Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts.

Riordan obtained his B.S. in Music Therapy and Psychology from State University of New York, and his M.D. from Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia.
