BOWMORE Begins Drilling at Nueva Escondida Property

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - July 25, 2011) - BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:BOW)(FRANKFURT:0B5)("Bowmore") is pleased to announce that it has obtained all necessary permits and license for its drill program at the Nueva Escondida property Sonora Mexico (property optioned from Amex Exploration Inc. (TSX VENTURE:AMX) ("Amex"). Bowmore and Amex have retained G4 Drilling Inc. of Val-d'Or, QC., to carry out its program; the drill and crew were mobilized, Saturday July 23^rd.

Recent exploration programs in 2010 and 2011 had outlined a significant gold and silver-zinc-lead mineralized zone called the "Rodeo zone" (see news release dated May 19^th, 2011).

The diamond drill program consist of 6 to 8 holes for an approximate total of 2000 meters targeting the "Rodeo Zone" a large area of anomalous gold values found in rock and in soils and to test the extensions of the channel surface sampling previously done that returned intersection up to 0.58g/t Au, 116g/t Ag, 3% Pb and 6.6% Zn on 12 meters (as reported by Amex, see press release dated May 17^th, 2011). All drill pads have been prepared and drilling should begin on Tuesday.

The Property

The Property is composed of 8 claims covering over 6,100 hectares and is located in the foothills of the Sierra Madre Occidental gold belt ("SMO"). The SMO is host to reserves of more than 40 Million ounces of gold and 2 Billion ounces of silver. The Nueva Escondida project is situated within the Basin and Range Province located at the western edge of the Sierra Madre Occidental.
