BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. Exploration Update

MONTREAL, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 24, 2010) - BOWMORE Exploration Ltd. (TSX VENTURE:BOW) ("The Company") is pleased to provide an update of the ongoing exploration activities on its Chivas and Nueva Escondida gold properties, both located in the State of Sonora, Mexico, and on its Duverny gold property in the Abitibi region of Quebec.

The Property consists of 4885 ha optioned in early August 2010 in addition to the 53 claims that Bowmore had previously staked. A prospecting and sampling program was immediately initiated to cover the entire Duverny property. The work consists of extensive rock sampling of all the existing outcrops including old trenches and zones of intense alteration highlighted by historical works within the inner and outer property limits. The property encompasses very large, kilometric zones of intense carbonate alteration (ankerite) with quartz stockworks and disseminated pyrite over large volumes of rock, as well as a network of significant shear zones in proximity to felsic and intermediate intrusions. This alteration is similar to that of the Larder Lake camp, including the past producing Kerr-Addison mine in Ontario. Several deposits have been previously defined on the actual Property and its immediate vicinity, including the Duvay-Obalski deposit situated in the northwest portion of the Property, which contains previously reported, non-43-101 compliant, unclassified resources of 725,000 tonnes grading 3.4 g/t Au (M.R.N.F., 1989, DV 90-01, p. 47) or alternatively, 5,000,000 tonnes grading 2.0 g/t Au (M.R.N.F., 1990, DV 91-01, p. 42). Completion of the sampling program is planned for the end of September. The next designed phase will be composed of an RC program of 125 holes to sample the bedrock in areas covered by overburden. The sampling will guide the next phase of exploration in areas not historically tested.

The Duverny property located in the Abitibi greenstone belt presents excellent potential for either a near-surface, bulk tonnage gold deposit within the large alteration zones, or alternatively an Archean shear-hosted gold deposit. The planned exploration program will allow Bowmore to better define diamond drilling targets.

CHIVAS, Sonora, Mexico

The Property is composed of 2 claims covering over 24,841 hectares located in the Sierra Madre gold belt that was optioned from Amex Exploration Inc. (TSX-V-AMX)In May of this year the Company conducted an airborne survey covering 75 square kilometers. Several structures were identified from the magnetic survey and the field work focused on areas of structural complexity. A total of 14 targets were established from the magnetic and radiometric survey and most of them have been investigated. Only 3 of these targets on the east side of the property were not visited for reasons of limited access during this last rain season. The Company will follow up on these targets later in the year.

Three new areas of strong to intense epithermal alteration were discovered from the identified targets. A wide silicified zone (lithocap), measuring approximately 900 by 300 meters was identified within the felsic volcanic rocks WSW of the historical Piedra Rodante zone. Samples collected in this new zone are described as strongly silicified volcanics or siliceous sinter containing traces of pyrite. Weak hematisation and microbrecciation are also reported. Three heavy mineral samples collected at the bottom of the slope within a kilometer of the silicified zone returned anomalous gold values of up to 99 ppb Au. The two other altered zones are located respectively 2 and 4.8 km SSE of the initial one. They are more restricted in their dimensions but however of significant size.

A selective heavy mineral sampling program covering the central part of the property returned anomalous values from the Piedra Rodante area but also from a new zone, named Mesa Blanca, 2.7 km south of the originally drilled area. Compilation of the gold results obtained from the rock sampling suggests that structure controls the mineralization. A dominant N340 and a more subtle N070 trends are now interpreted as having an important role in the gold distribution. Piedra Rodante and Mesa Blanca are located along the main trend at the intersection with secondary structures. The silicified zones and the argillized zone define a N340 parallel to the Piedra Rodante trend. This intense alteration, traced over several hundred of meters in width and length, could reflect the presence of a lithocap or distinct sinter zones. A GIS compilation was also carried out in order to produce detailed maps and plan the next exploration phase.

Better understanding of the mineralization controls and the sizeable observed alteration in multiple locations provides important information to identify drill targets over a promising property.

The Property is composed of 8 claims covering over 6,100 hectares located in the Sierra Madre foothills was optioned from Amex Exploration Inc. (TSX-V-AMX) Bowmore conducted prior to optioning the property a 45 rock samples to corroborate historical values. Effectively similar values of up to 3.18 g/t Au and 226 g/t Ag with high contents of zinc and lead were obtained. The gold zone appears on surface and covers an area of 710 x 960 meters open in all directions. A radiometrics and magnetics airborne survey was conducted over most of the property; interpretation completed in August established zones of interest for sampling and mapping planned for the fall.

During a short field visit in August a zone of marble in the southwestern area surrounding known gold placers was discovered. The magnetic interpretation from the airborne survey seems to indicate that this area is underlain by a subcropping granodiorite pluton, the marble occurrence could corroborate this interpretation and is being investigated. Regionally several of the gold showings of the area occur in the sediments or the volcanics at the contact with this intrusion, more work is recommended in this area. Work planned will also evaluate the NE sector where several grab samples returned anomalous gold values earlier this summer. Bowmore has implemented a prospecting and rock sampling program combined with a heavy minerals sampling program designed to quickly evaluate this large property. Areas with anomalous gold will then be investigated by additional mapping and sampling.

The initial results obtained on the Nueva Escondida property are very encouraging. The presence of gold placers in the southwest close to an intrusive marble contact, and the auriferous rock samples returned from the northeast prove the potential of the Property.
