Box Office Tickets Announces PDX Ticket Network™ Grows to 300+

Free Online Calendar, Ticketing and Walk-Up Services Help Organizations Promote Events; Cut Costs

PORTLAND, OR--(Marketwire - June 23, 2009) - Box Office Tickets Inc. (BOT) and Film Action Oregon (FAO) teamed up last year to launch the PDX Ticket Network™ (www.pdxtix.net) and PDX Cultural Calendar™ (www.pdxcc.net), a free ticketing, box office and calendar service for the Portland Metro tri-county community. Today, the PDX Ticket Network and Cultural Calendar serve more than 300 organizations with over 10,000 listings.

The PDX Ticket Network helps small and medium-sized organizations connect with people interested in the arts, culture and entertainment. Artists, performers and organizations who are part of the Network promote their events and sell tickets online using BOT's web-based software and at the FAO walk-up box office, open 1 p.m. - 9 p.m., 365-days-a-year at the historic Hollywood Theatre in Portland. There is no charge to organizations; groups selling a $20 ticket, for example, get $20 back for each sale.

"We're amazed at the level of participation," says George Domurot, President/CEO of Box Office Tickets Inc. "Organizations and individuals are joining on a daily basis and, given the economy, the timing couldn't be better. Not only does the Network help organizations reach more people, it saves money, gives them greater control over ticketing, and is a way to work together to share services and cross-promote events."

One source for information on tickets and upcoming events

Individuals can sign up for free to receive a weekly email digest that keeps them current on upcoming shows, events and promotions that match their interests. Patrons can then order tickets online, paying a small service fee of $1 per ticket, plus five percent of the ticket price. For each ticket sold, five cents is returned to the community in the form of a donation to a local non-profit organization.

"The PDX Ticket Network has become the 'go to' place for individuals to find out what's happening in the tri-county area," says Ellen Bergstone, Executive Director of Film Action Oregon. "FAO's partnership with Box Office Tickets is a great example of how business and cultural organizations can work together to support the arts. Right now we're working on social networking tools that will further help organizations to engage with their audiences."

Any artist, arts or entertainment organization can post their events for free on www.pdxcc.net.
