BPM Industry Report and Survey Affirm Adaptive Planning as SaaS Leader

Additionally, the report highlights the increasing importance of software as a service (SaaS)-based business performance management solutions, and survey responses affirm Adaptive Planning's leadership in the space.

BPM Partners awards Core Vendor status to a select group of software firms that should be considered when developing a short-list for new BPM software projects. Adaptive Planning was named a Core Vendor for the second straight year, and was the only multi-tenant SaaS provider to be included.

Widely considered the definitive barometer of the industry, BPM Partners' vendor-neutral Pulse Survey solicits responses from current prospects and customers of BPM solutions on an annual basis. To-date, over 875 people have responded to the 2009 survey.

For the first time this year, SaaS was included as a separate vendor evaluation criterion, reflecting the rapidly growing importance of the category within the performance management industry. This year's survey responses also underscore the increasing interest in SaaS solutions. According to the survey, of those that have an opinion, approximately twice as many respondents would consider a SaaS solution, and for midsized companies -- those with less than 1,000 employees -- results were more than three to one in favor of SaaS.

Adaptive Planning's customer responses further demonstrate the company's leadership. The company not only received the most SaaS-specific responses, but also the most overall customer responses -- a remarkable achievement for a private company which attests to its loyal customer base. Similarly, Adaptive Planning's customer satisfaction rating grew to 4.4 out of 5.0 this year, up from last year's rating of 4.1, which was the highest among last year's Core Vendors.
