Bradford Networks Customer Las Virgenes Unified School District to Present on Their BYOD Project at CETPA Conference 2013

School District CTO to Share Lessons Learned for Enabling Secure BYOD for More than 50,000 Mobile Devices and Provide Best Practices for Vendor RFP Evaluation Process

PASADENA, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 18, 2013) - CETPA Conference - Bradford Networks™, the best choice to secure network access for BYOD, today announced that its customer, Las Virgenes Unified School District (LVUSD), will present a session, "Enterprise Wireless from RFP to Installation" at the CETPA Conference 2013 taking place November 19-22nd in Pasadena, CA. This case study session will share how LVUSD installed enterprise-level wireless for every classroom across 17 districts to enable secure Bring-Your-Own-Device (BYOD) and allow each of its 11,500 students and 1,000 staff members to connect to the schools' wireless network quickly, easily and safely.

Phil Scrivano, former chief technology officer, Las Virgenes Unified School District

In a district-wide initiative, LVUSD is utilizing technology to improve the way students learn, solve problems and think critically. As part of this initiative, LVUSD integrated a wide range of electronic resources into the classroom including the students' own mobile devices to enable BYOD for students and staff.

In this session, Scrivano will outline the steps LVUSD took to evaluate and implement a BYOD solution that combines a wireless network, cabling, content filtering and reporting, and NAC to ensure complete visibility and control of users and devices on the network. Scrivano will walk attendees through the process for developing a vendor-neutral RFP that is based on outcomes, installation, security, and user experience.
