Bradford Networks Maintains Leadership Position in Network Security Industry With Strong Performance in H1 FY 2012

Enterprise BYOD Phenomenon Fuels Company Growth, Resulting in 70% Revenue Increase

CAMBRIDGE, MA--(Marketwire - Feb 6, 2012) - Bradford Networks, the best choice to enable secure network access for corporate issued and personal mobile devices, today announced it ended H1 FY 2012 (started on July 1, 2011) with 70% revenue growth compared to H1 FY 2011. Also, 2011 ended with new marquee customers including Blue Cross Blue Shield of Florida, First Coast Service Options, Northwestern University, Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd, The Methodist Hospital and Xtra Mart Convenience Stores. Bradford's customer base grew to nearly 1,000 enterprise customers worldwide, experienced talent was added to key executive management positions and more than 4 million wired and wireless network devices are now under management.

Organizations are increasingly opening their networks to employee-owned devices. According to analyst firm Gartner1, the "BYOD [Bring Your Own Device] phenomenon is driving growth in the NAC [network access control] market as organizations seek to apply policies specific to personally owned mobile devices." As a result, Bradford grew its customer base across key industry verticals such as healthcare, financial services, retail, government, education and more. To meet the growing needs of its customers, Bradford also expanded its partner activity with companies including Aerohive, Fortinet, HP, Meru Networks, Motorola Solutions and Ruckus Wireless.

"The Methodist Hospital System (TMHS) is a leader in leveraging technology to provide high quality, cost-effective health care that delivers the best value to the people we serve. Securing our customers' most sensitive information to ensure their privacy is achieved in part by selecting and implementing the appropriate Information Technology solutions. Bradford Networks' network access control plays an important role by securing access to our network," said Steve Burns, vice president of IT Infrastructure at TMHS.

During 2011, Bradford extended its Network Sentry product family to become the first network security offering that automatically identifies and profiles all devices and users on a network, providing complete visibility and control. The company also announced a pure Security-as-a-Service (SaaS) offering,, and introduced the first App that enables secure network access for trusted iPads, iPhones and other Apple devices.

"2011 was an important year for the network access control market, as the escalating BYOD trend challenged organizations to ensure they have policies in place for allowing and securing personal devices on their corporate networks," said Dan Haley, chief executive officer, Bradford Networks. "With the healthcare market, in particular, increasingly using mobile devices to access patient data, more and more hospitals are turning to Bradford to help them safeguard this confidential data, while ensuring regulatory compliance. We look forward to continued success in both the healthcare and enterprise markets as we finish 2012."

To support Bradford's rapid growth and leadership in the NAC market, the company made significant additions to its executive and senior management teams, including the appointments of Dan Haley to chief executive officer (CEO), Tom Murphy to chief marketing officer (CMO), Mike Killoran to vice president of sales and Vincent Ma to vice president of business development.

Bradford also received several industry acknowledgements. Most recently, the company was positioned by Gartner, Inc. as a Visionary in the 2011 "Magic Quadrant for Network Access Control1," and cited Bradford as a Leader in the June 2011 Network Access Control (NAC) Forrester Wave™ report. Additional acknowledgements and awards include recognition from SC Magazine as a finalist for Best Network Access Control solution and winner of eSchool Media's Reader's Choice Awards for Best Product in Education Technology.
