Bradley J. Hartsell Named Chief Executive Officer for Schmitz Dong Feng Special Vehicle Company, Ltd.

WUHAN, CHINA and HORSTMAR, GERMANY--(Marketwired - Sep 9, 2015) - The Board of Directors of the Joint Venture confirmed Bradley J. Hartsell as the Chief Executive Officer for Schmitz Dong Feng Special Vehicle Company located in Wuhan, China. He is taking over from Andreas Schmitz who is returning to Germany. Bradley Hartsell began to work on 12 July 2015, bringing a wealth of international experience in the area of sales and business development management and Executive General Management in the Asia-Pacific region.

Mr. Huang Guang chairman of the Joint Venture Schmitz Cargobull (Wuhan) said he was looking forward to working with Bradley Hartsell who brings extensive experience in sales to the Company.

After completing his undergraduate degree in Asian Studies at the University of Michigan, Bradley Hartsell began his professional career as a sales manager in a Japanese trading company. In 1995, he joined Capro, inc. a Division of Teleflex, Inc., a technology company specializing in mechanical and electro-mechanical products supplied to the automotive, construction and agricultural markets where he led the sales group and development of business for a newly established manufacturing site in Tennessee (USA). In addition to working full time, he completed his Master's of Business Administration Degree (MBA) at Union University. Following on from his role in the USA, he moved to Shanghai, China, and was key in the establishment and growth of the JV, Shanghai Lonestar. As the sole foreign representative to the JV, Hartsell was responsible for business development and the interests of Teleflex, Inc., the majority shareholder. During his extended period in China he managed the company through the dissolution of the JV into a Wholly Owned Foreign Enterprise (WOFE) and the acquisition of the Teleflex assets by Kongsberg Automotive and continued to serve as the Executive General Manager. Additionally Bradley Hartsell assisted in business development at the Teleflex JV, Teleflex Dong Feng Morse Company. He also served on and participated on the Board of Directors while serving in China. In June of 2013 Hartsell returned to the USA to serve as Director of Sales for North America for Kongsberg Automotive. He was successful in rebuilding and revitalizing the sales organization and in securing the single largest sales contract for the company. He completed his tenure with Kongsberg at the end May 2015.
