Bralorne Drifting on the BK Zone

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - March 17, 2008) - Bralorne Gold Mines Ltd. (the "Company") (TSX VENTURE:BPM)(PINK SHEETS:BPMSF)(BERLIN & FRANKFURT:WKN A0B75M) announces that the BK zone was intersected at a distance of 310 feet in the cross cut from the Alhambra drift. Drifting on the BK Zone structure and vein commenced on March 3rd with 175 feet of advance being completed by the 16th.

The first 110 feet of drift was through a stockwork zone containing a narrow vein ranging in width from a couple of inches to local bulges of one foot. This was as expected from the diamond drilling.

At 110 feet (or approximately the DDH UB07-22 intercept - 0.128 oz/t Au), the zone merged into a single structure with a quartz vein on the left and a foliated stringer zone on the right. The width of the zone is averaging roughly 4.5 feet, with face samples ranging from 124.8 gm/t (4.01 oz/t) Au across 4 feet to 2.8 gm/t (0.09 oz/t) Au across 4.5 feet.

The drifting advance to date has shown pretty much what was expected from the results of the diamond drill program, and we still have 350 feet to advance before intersecting DDH07-33 which gave 2.511 oz/t Au over 2 feet.

The drift is being driven as a 7 foot by 7 foot track drift utilizing air powered equipment and is being advanced at roughly 15 feet per day. Due to a shortage of personnel, the drifting is currently being done by 2-3 man crews (day shift and night shift) on a 28 day on - 14 day off rotation schedule which should give an advance of 400 feet per rotation.

The Company has opened its own on-site assay lab to facilitate a quick turnaround of the results. Samples will be sent for confirmation to an accredited lab.

The drift muck (ore) is being stockpiled on site in anticipation of a temporary mill start up during the summer. The purpose of the drifting program is for exploration and to define a reserve, however with the current gold price, money can be made milling 2 gram material.

The program is being supervised by Robert E. "Ned" Reid P. Geo., a qualified person as per NI43-101 who has reviewed this release.
