Branders Drops 'Sales,' Offers Lowest-Priced Deals Daily

MOUNTAIN VIEW, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 27, 2011) - "Sales are obsolete at the promotional products company," said its CEO, Jerry McLaughlin.

"By working hard to bring down its everyday prices, Branders no longer needs special 'sales' to provide the best price to its customers," McLaughlin said.

One of the company's efforts to lower prices is through the Price Buster campaign, by which it does a price comparison with its competitors. Branders hired a team of sourcing specialists that scours the Internet regularly to check competitors, ensuring that Branders has the lowest prices every day.

To show how companies can save by purchasing from Branders, the promotional products supplier recently carried out a "lowest price challenge" with, one of the largest freight brokers in the US. representative Tim Scott gathered Freightquote's receipts from purchases of promotional items and computed how much these transactions would have cost had the company ordered from Branders. Scott found that by choosing Branders for its logo items, Freightquote would save as much as 28%.

"We can definitely use the savings we get from Branders," said Freightquote's Sarah Cucchiara.

Memphis-based Germantown Pom Booster Club has purchased logo tumblers and bags from on several occasions. "The [Branders] price was very affordable for a nonprofit organization. Carlos, my account manager, was very helpful and patient while we worked out the details of the order," said Alicia Bradfield, the group's representative.

Beyond getting the lowest-priced promotional items from, clients also attest to the thorough customer service provided by the company's representatives.

Office manager Lynn Berndt, who works at third-party logistics provider GENCO ATC, purchased fleece blankets from Branders in November last year and has this to say: "My account manager Camille Espinola was fabulous to work with and ordering couldn't have been easier. We received the product in plenty of time and are very satisfied with it. Thank you for making Christmas shopping for our teammates so easy this year!"

The decade-old is a low-cost leader in the promotional products industry. They sell giveaway products such as mugs, pens and custom sunglasses, any product you can put your logo on. A seven-time recipient of the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) Gold Award for Best Website, Branders has been cited by Harvard Business School Publishing's Strategy & Innovation periodical for its "unique business model" that has "[upended] an industry."
