BrandPort Adds Three Industry Leaders to Advisory Board

RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC--(Marketwire - September 13, 2007) - BrandPort, the advertising platform that allows consumers to view, interact with and rate ads, and win cash and prizes via the BrandPort Sweepstakes Web site, announced today that it has added three industry leaders to its advisory board. Developed to provide strategic advice and input into company operations, the advisory board comprises leaders with board-level experience in the media, marketing and finance industries. The three new additions, Frank Boosman, Scot McLernon and Joe Poletto, will lend their experience and expertise to the growth of this innovative and dynamic company.

Frank Boosman

Prior to its recent acquisition by Lockheed Martin, Frank Boosman was co-founder and chief operating officer of 3Dsolve, a simulation learning company. An industry veteran with over 20 years of high-tech experience, he is a director of A-B-Sea, which is extending GPS to underwater operations. He also serves as an advisor to SnapVine, which creates voice-centric social networking applications, and to Lulan, a for-profit social venture. Prior to 3Dsolve, he co-founded Red Storm Entertainment, an entertainment software firm created by author Tom Clancy, where he served as vice president of product development and was a co-designer of the first realistic tactical combat game, Tom Clancy's Rainbow Six. He also held management positions at Adobe Systems, serving as a founding team member of Adobe's Acrobat product, and served as a director at Ludicorp R&D Ltd., developers of the popular photo-sharing service Flickr.

Scot McLernon

Throughout his career, Scot McLernon has been touted as an industry thought leader and evangelizer who has constantly pushed the Web's advertising capabilities. Over the last 12 years, Scot has built and led three different and very successful Web advertising sales teams with the last two of those years dedicated to CBS Interactive, where he served as senior vice president of sales. Following the sale of MarketWatch to Dow Jones, Scot served as chief strategy officer at DowJones. After DowJones, Scot returned to CBS where he was tasked with bringing all seven properties within the CBS portfolio under one roof, now known as CBS Interactive. Scot recently received the industry achievement award by DMG World Media, honoring his long-term dedication and consistent outstanding service to online marketing. Scot is an active board member of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), is a founding member of the Online Publishers Association (OPA), a founding Director of the Bay Area Interactive Group, and sits on several advisory boards.

Joe Poletto

Joe served most recently as general manager of US Advertising Sales for the MSN Network, where he directed all sales, partnerships, content sponsorships, and co-marketing efforts for MSN. Joe joined MSN in 2002 as managing director of emerging verticals. Earlier, Joe served as vice president of the Microsoft TV and WebTV initiatives where he developed interactive programming partnerships with companies including CBS, NBC and Sony Columbia Tri-Star. Prior to joining Microsoft, Joe was vice president of national advertising sales for HBO-Comedy Central where he played a central role in the network launch and in growing revenues. Joe is a Connecticut native and now living in the San Francisco Bay Area and works with promising startups in the media and technology space.

"With our pioneering approach to marketing, BrandPort is bringing significant change to the media landscape, and we are excited to have these three accomplished visionaries guiding us along that journey," said Kivin Varghese, founder and CEO of BrandPort.
