Bravo Venture Group Inc.: Homestake Ridge Yields High-Grade Gold & Silver

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(CCNMatthews - Oct. 17, 2005) - Bravo Venture Group Inc. (TSX VENTURE:BVG) reported today that high-grade gold and narrow but extremely high-grade silver values have been encountered in the recently completed 1642.5 metre diamond drill program at the company's Homestake Ridge project in northwestern British Columbia.

Bravo said notable intercepts from the eleven-hole program included:

- 36.1 metres of 2.1g/t (0.06oz/t) Au and 6.3g/t (0.18oz/t) Ag, including 1.4 metres of 14.5g/t (0.42oz/t) Au and 22.8g/t (0.67oz/t) Ag in hole HR05-12;

- 4.1 metres of 7.9g/t (0.23oz/t) Au and 554.6g/t (16.18oz/t) Ag including 1.5 metres of 18.6g/t (0.54oz/t) Au and 1108g/t (32.32oz/t) Ag in hole HR05-13;

- 9.8 metres of 5.3g/t (0.16oz/t)Au and 479.7g/t (13.99oz/t)Ag including 1.4 metres of 35.7g/t (1.04oz/t) Au and 3176.5g/t (92.65oz/t) Ag in hole HR05-14;

- 7.4 metres of 10.6g/t (0.31oz/t) Au and 21.8 g/t (0.64oz/t) Ag including 0.8 metres of 34.5g/t (1.01oz/t) Au and 69.0g/t (2.1oz/t) Ag in hole HR05-17.

Drilling targeted a northwest trending, and moderately to steeply northeast dipping (60 deg to 70 deg) structure in the central "Crown Grant" portion of the property and was designed to offset high-grade mineralization intersected in 2003 drilling which returned 9.8g/t Au and 9.8g/t Ag over 3.1 metres in hole HR03-06.

The company said the program successfully extended the zone of higher grade mineralization (greater than 3g/t Au over greater than 1 metre) by 135 metres along strike and to a depth of 200 metres. Highly anomalous gold mineralization (greater than 1g/t Au) was returned from three holes that tested the main structure at shallower depths for a further 165 metres along strike. Previous exploration on the property (see news release dated Jan. 14th, 2005) indicates that gold, silver and base-metal mineralization can be traced on surface along the structure for over one kilometre to the southeast.

Mineralization in drill holes HR03-06, HR05-12, HR05-17 and HR05-18 form high-grade lenses along the main structure. Drill hole HR05-12 represents a 35 metre on-strike step-out to the southeast from the HR03-06 intercept, and HR05-17, a 26 metre down dip offset. Mineralization is open to the northwest and immediately down dip of HR05-17. High-grade mineralization in drill hole HR05-18 appears to represent a continuation of the high-grade lens 110 metres on-strike to the southeast. Six to nine metre intervals of lower grade mineralization (1.4g/t to 2.3g/t Au) in holes HR05-13, HR-14 and HR-15 underlie the high-grade lens which remains open along strike and down dip to the northwest and southeast.

High-grade gold-silver mineralization encountered in upper parts of drill holes HR05-13 and HR05-14 forms a second mineralized zone in the hangingwall of the main host structure. The orientation and extent of this mineralization is still uncertain; however, it may form a more flat-lying lens underlying a stratigraphic contact that merges with the mineralization in HR05-12 approximately 25 metres to the southwest.

Assays were conducted at Acme Analytical Laboratories Ltd. Vancouver, BC. Preliminary values (including gold) were determined using conventional fire assay with Aqua-Regia digestion and ICP-MS finish. Check assays (greater than 500ppb) were reanalyzed using FA fusion with an ICP-ES or gravimetric finish.

(i) Preliminary Au values are reported for holes HR05-16 through HR05-22. Check assays and overlimits are pending for these samples.

The 2005 drill program is a significant step in the development of the Homestake Ridge project. Drilling has identified a persistently mineralized structure for over 300 metres of strike length, significantly increasing the size of the known high-grade lens and identified a new silver-rich style of mineralization previously unrecognized in the Crown Grant mineralized zone. Indications are that mineralization becomes stronger with depth, where multiple high-grade gold- and silver-rich lenses have been identified.

Data compilation and interpretation of results continues, pending the receipt of check and overlimit assays, toward a more comprehensive interpretation and model for the Homestake Ridge project which will form the basis for an intensive 2006 diamond drill program.
