BrazAlta Receives Approval by the National Petroleum Agency of Brazil (ANP), to Bid on Over 600 Square Km's of Land in Brazil's Upcoming Round 7 Land Auctions

CALGARY, ALBERTA--(CCNMatthews - Sept. 28, 2005) - BrazAlta Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BRX) ("BrazAlta") is pleased to announce that the Agencia National De Petroleum, (ANP), Brazil's National Petroleum Agency has approved and authorized BrazAlta to bid on multiple land blocks during the October 17 to October 20th Land Auctions held in Rio de Janeiro Brazil. BrazAlta expects to bid on more than 600 Square Kilometres of Land in a number of different onshore locations.

About Round 7

Brazil's Oil & Gas Industry began to deregulate in 1997 and since then companies have had opportunities to bid on exploration leases once a year. The annual auctions are called Rounds, 2005, is called Round 7. BrazAlta has met the qualification standards and is authorized to bid onshore on up to 40 blocks. An average block has approximately 30 Square Kilometres.

Brazil Round 7 offers blocks for exploration, development and production of oil and gas. A total area of 397,615 Km2. These areas are located in 14 sedimentary basins divided into 34 sectors. There are 509 blocks onshore available in Round 7.
