Crossing our large and beautiful country is an experience that many lucky Canadians have enjoyed, but few have done it in only one day. Crossing Canada with a day full of adventures is the grand prize in the "The Ultimate Day Contest" – a contest for university and college students across Canada. The contest is part of a healthy lifestyle and responsible drinking program by The Student Life Education Company and Molson Coors Canada.

Students can enter to win between now and October 3, 2010 by visiting www.facebook.com/theultimateday.

"We really wanted to make an impact and drive the message home that what you get out of a day is shaped by the decisions you make the night before," said Bryan Cox, Director, Public Affairs, Molson Coors Canada. "By making responsible choices you'll get so much out of every day."

The contest is just one part of Molson Coors' campus responsible drinking program which carries the theme "Today is brought to you by last night's choices". Other program elements include posters, a calendar that is full of helpful hints and information on upcoming dates/holidays related to healthy messaging, instant rewards like TAXIGUY dollars, grocery gift certificates and gas gift certificates, nation-wide PSAs and on-campus digital signage.

"For many students, this will be their first time living away from home and that can bring with it a lot of responsibilities," said Cody Dodd, Program Director, The Student Life Education Company. "Our collective goal is to do our part to help ensure that students have the right information to make informed decisions around alcohol and other elements of a healthy lifestyle."

The contest and program officially launches today and will continue until October 3rd, 2010. For official contest rules and regulations for The Ultimate Day Contest, visit http://www.molsoncoorscanada.com/~/media/Files/pdf/RulesAndRegulations/MolsonCoorsUltimateDay.pdf

"We're focusing on reaching students during orientation week and the beginning of school as these early weeks are some of the most formative for students," said Cox. "The goal is to empower them with the information they need to make responsible choices."
