Breker Verification Systems Names Thomas L. Anderson Vice President of Marketing

Assumes Wide-Ranging Responsibilities to Establish Breker as The SoC Verification Company

FREMONT, CA--(Marketwire - Apr 25, 2012) - Breker Verification Systems, The SoC Verification Company, today announced that Thomas L. Anderson has assumed the role of vice president of Marketing, reporting to Chief Executive Officer Adnan Hamid.

In assuming the position, Anderson has wide-ranging responsibilities, from corporate marketing, marketing communications and public relations to product marketing and pre-sales support. As part of Breker's expanded marketing activities, he has updated the Breker website, and established Breker on Facebook and Twitter to complement existing social media channels.

"Breker has built a loyal and committed customer base over the last few years," reports Hamid. "Tom joins us at just the right time to expand both our visibility and our customer base. His experience is most welcome as we work together to take Breker to the next level."

Anderson is a Silicon Valley serial entrepreneur, having served as vice president of Engineering at intellectual property (IP) pioneer Virtual Chips, Inc. (acquired by Phoenix Technologies Ltd.) and vice president of Applications Engineering at 0-In Design Automation, Inc. (acquired by Mentor Graphics Corporation). Most recently, he served as group director of Product Management, Advanced Verification Solutions at Cadence Design Systems, Inc. He was previously director of Technical Marketing in the Verification Group at Synopsys.

Anderson has presented more than 100 conference talks and published more than 150 papers and technical articles on such topics as advanced verification, formal analysis, SystemVerilog and design reuse. He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from The Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Systems Engineering from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst.

"It's clear that existing solutions are not sufficient for today's huge system-on-chip (SoC) designs," says Anderson. "Breker has a unique solution for SoC verification engineers, leveraging the power of the embedded processors to verify SoC designs at the full-chip level. I'm delighted to have a chance to tell this story and to help develop it further."

Since its founding in 2003, Breker Verifications Systems' mission has been to improve upon existing verification technologies, especially as more and more chips become SoCs with embedded processors. Effective verification of such designs requires high-quality, self-verifying test cases running on the processors. These test cases must exercise a wide range of functional scenarios to ensure that the SoC can support the necessary concurrency, system-level and software functionality while meeting performance requirements. Breker's TrekSoC™ automates the creation of portable self-checking tests for multi-threaded SoC devices.
