Brett Bernstein Joins Outsourced Ad Ops as VP of Technology

Industry Veteran to Lead OAO's Technology Team

NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwired - Oct 6, 2014) - Outsourced Ad Ops (OAO), a leading provider of ad operations services for publishers, has announced the hire of Brett Bernstein to serve as Vice President of Technology. Bernstein, who was most recently the Vice President of Data Operations and Project Management at Centro, will be responsible for overseeing OAO's workflow and performance software, as well as the design and development of new components of the company's ad ops stack. He will report to OAO's President, Craig Leshen, and work closely with the rest of the executive team, Michael Alania, EVP, and Jennifer Hill, VP of Ad Operations.

As the digital advertising ecosystem becomes increasingly complex, leading publishers continue to turn to OAO for support. The company's growth -- and its constant drive to provide clients with insights and access to the latest advertising technology -- have resulted in an expansion of the technology team now being overseen by Bernstein.

"At OAO, our goal is to make the complex simple," said Leshen, "and that goes for our own systems as well as the way we streamline how companies work with the ad ops stack. It's a testament to our success that we're building out our technology team and Brett -- who brings deep development experience, as well as strong ad industry experience -- is the perfect person for the job."

Bernstein was attracted to OAO by the company's reputation, the strength of its client base, the quality of its people and for the opportunity to approach the industry from a fresh perspective. "I'm really excited to be working with OAO," said Bernstein. "So much of my focus has been on the agency side of the industry and I've seen first hand the value that can be generated when data is turned into actionable information. I'm looking forward to addressing the unique challenges faced by the type of premium publishers OAO counts among its clients."

Under Bernstein's leadership, the OAO technology team will continue to build software, for both internal and external usage, and expand its service offerings. "The pace of change in this industry is astonishing," explained Bernstein, "and while OAO has the most complete ad ops stack I've seen, we need to keep the pace and in some cases get ahead of the industry to best serve our clients. I'm excited to dive in."

Prior to Centro, Bernstein held senior development and project management positions for Acquity Group, now part of Accenture Interactive, where he worked on projects for clients such as Motorola, Allstate, and Chicos FAS, Inc. Bernstein, a native of Port Washington, NY, attended Northwestern University, where he earned a B.A. in Economics and a M.S. in Information Technology. In his new position with OAO, he will be based out of Chicago -- his home of twenty-two years.
