Brett Dennen Gets Innovative With Music and Marketing; Trend-Setting Tour of Apple Retail Stores Begins in 2007

Music Appears in Hit TV Shows "Grey's Anatomy" and "Men In Trees"

NASHVILLE, TN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- December 22, 2006 -- Brett Dennen doesn't think outside the box. That's because he never believed in boxes and boundaries to begin with. That philosophy touches everything he does, from the worldly mix of folk, pop, rock and jam music he creates, to the innovative, trend-setting way he markets it. His latest CD, "So Much More," has been at the top of the folk music charts on Apple's iTunes since it was released back in September. He's been a chart-topper on iTunes for the past three weeks and was a Discovery Download feature on the site on Nov. 28. Dennen and his record label, Dualtone, instinctively understand that Brett's genre-breaking music needs a non-traditional approach to marketing. That's why they decided to use his 2007 Love Speaks tour to do more than turn music fans on to his soul-stirring, acoustic sounds. The tour also finds Dennen teaming with different non-profit organizations at various tour stops. He'll be raising funds and awareness for causes he believes in. He takes another novel approach to marketing on the Love Speaks tour by joining forces with Apple and performing at the digital bars in Apple retail stores all over the country. Over the course of the tour, which launches in January, he'll make stops at Apple stores in Atlanta, Chicago, New York City, and Boulder, Colorado, among others.

It was a natural evolution of a partnership that continues to launch Dennen into the national spotlight with iTunes naming "So Much More" one of the Best Folk Albums of 2006 and featuring his new "Holiday Song" on their homepage.

Dennen is commanding more attention in the digital music space as he also landed in the coveted No. 1 chart position overall on eMusic, the second most popular digital download site, sharing the Top 10 with musical luminaries including Bob Dylan, Damien Rice and Old Crow Medicine Show.

Perhaps Dennen's next move should be a tour of ABC local affiliate television stations as he's found great success on two of ABC's hit shows. "There Is So Much More" was featured in the Nov. 9 episode of "Grey's Anatomy," the top-rated television show in the country with over 22 million viewers. The following night (Nov. 10), "Men In Trees," which stars Anne Heche, included his song "The One Who Loves You The Most." "Men In Trees" liked what they heard so much they used another Dennen song, "When You Feel It," in the Dec. 14 episode.

The Brett Dennen story continues to build. He recently sold out shows in San Francisco and Los Angeles and radio is jumping on board with Dennen getting adds at KMTT (Seattle), KGSR (Austin), WRNR (Annapolis), WFUV (New York), WRLT (Nashville) and continuing to receive significant airplay from KFOG (San Francisco) and KCRW (Santa Monica).

Dennen is also a talented visual artist who specializes in pastels and watercolors. He's shown and sold his paintings in California galleries and "So Much More" features his artwork throughout.
