Brett Dennen Tours With John Mayer and Animal Liberation Orchestra

Stars in New Hilton Hotels' Ad Campaign

NASHVILLE, TN -- (MARKET WIRE) -- March 19, 2007 -- Folk rocker Brett Dennen's incendiary rise shows no signs of cooling. He'll hit the road for a spring tour of the South, co-headlining with Animal Liberation Orchestra (ALO). ALO, having been lifelong friends of and collaborators with Jack Johnson, are signed to Johnson's Brushfire Records. Last year Dennen had a critically acclaimed opening spot during the Dave Matthews & Friends Cruise. Dennen's rhythmic acoustic rock is the perfect complement to ALO's down-and-dirty eclectic funk. It's the must-see tour of the spring for fans of genre-bending, innovative, toe-tapping, feel good music.

Dennen will then join Grammy-winning star John Mayer, whose tour also features Ben Folds. Dennen will open in support of Mayer and Folds for a string of dates in June and July. In between, he'll work the festival, college and club circuit, converting even more fans to his infectious and rhythmic brand of acoustic rock. He'll also gain national exposure as part of Hilton Hotels' award-winning "Travel Should Take You Places" ad campaign.

His music will be featured on national television commercials, in print ads and on Hilton's website. The campaign features videos of participating artists speaking about their own "personal journey" and the impact that travel has on their music and on them as individuals. Video of impromptu performances can be found on later this month, as well as in-room at participating Hilton hotels.

The tour and ad campaign are just the latest fait accompli in a whirlwind year for Dennen. The buzz surrounding his latest CD, "So Much More" on Dualtone Records, continues to build. His song "There Is So Much More" was featured on "Grey's Anatomy," the top-rated television show in the country with over 22 million viewers. "Men In Trees," which stars Anne Heche, included his songs "The One Who Loves You The Most" and "When You Feel It," in separate episodes.

Innovation and individuality infuse every aspect of "So Much More" and not just the music. Dennen, his management and label have embraced out-of-the-box thinking to get the word out about the record. They've launched a new media campaign targeting the blogging community and have positioned the California-based songwriter at the forefront of the digital music movement. He's been a chart-topper on Apple's iTunes and a Daily Download feature on the site. He's currently the No. 1 download on the iTunes folk chart where he's been entrenched in the Top 5 since November, with multiple weeks in the No. 1 spot. He's had so much success on iTunes, that he launched his 2007 tour performing at the digital bars in Apple retail stores in Atlanta, Chicago, New York and Boulder.

Dennen also landed in the coveted No. 1 chart position overall on eMusic, the second most popular digital download site, sharing the Top 10 with musical luminaries including Bob Dylan, Damien Rice and Old Crow Medicine Show.

It seems everyone who hears Dennen's music becomes an unabashed fan including upcoming tour partner John Mayer who says of "So Much More," "A beautiful and spirited record. Instantly likeable." Acclaimed social activist and songwriter Michael Franti of the band Spearhead says, "It is a rare combination when an artist can be as good a singer and guitarist as Brett is, but it is his commitment to the word that makes his songs live and breathe. His music has a playfulness in its bounce while the lyrics ring with a truth beyond his years."
