Bri-Chem Announces Election of Directors and Grant of Stock Options

EDMONTON, CANADA--(Marketwired - Aug. 12, 2013) - Bri-Chem Corp. ("Bri-Chem" or "Company") (TSX:BRY) a leading North American wholesale distributor and manufacturer of oil and gas drilling fluids, steel pipe and piping products is pleased to announce that at the annual general meeting of the shareholders held on June 11, 2013, each of the four nominees listed in the Management Information Circular dated May 9, 2013 were elected as directors of Bri-Chem for the ensuing year.

Based on the proxies received and by show of hands conducted at the meeting, the following individuals were elected as directors of the Company until the next annual shareholder meeting of the shareholders. Accordingly, the results were as follows:

All other resolutions provided for in the Management Information Circular were duly passed and a report on the voting results were filed with the Canadian securities regulatory authorities at www.sedar.com.

The Company has granted options to acquire up to 180,000 common shares to executive officers and independent directors of Bri-Chem. The options are granted in accordance with Bri-Chem's stock option plan and have terms that expire ten years from the grant date.
