(NYSE Arca: CML) today announced its Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Brian Bell, has been named a 2009 Channel Chief by the Everything Channel's CRN. CRN Channel Chiefs are recognized as influential executives who consistently defend, promote and execute effective channel partner programs and strategies.

Since joining the Compellent team in 2004, Bell has led the company's Elevate Partner program, which is a 100 percent channel sales model. Bell has also spearheaded numerous aggressive investments in Compellent's channel partner relationships, including the C-Drive Business Partner Summit, scheduled this year for May 3-5, 2009, an annual gathering of value-added resellers (VARs), storage industry observers, and members of Compellent's team. The Business Partner Summit brings together Compellent's reseller community to discuss sales strategies, undergo training, and provide feedback on Compellent's SAN products and its channel program.
