Brian Mulroney Writes Foreword to Teenage John A. Macdonald Book

Second PM to Lend Name to Leaders & Legacies Series

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Nov. 16, 2010) - Former Prime Minister Brian Mulroney has written the Foreword to a historical fiction adventure of a teenage John A. Macdonald.

The Legends of Lake on the Mountain: An Early Adventure of John A. Macdonald, is set in Prince Edward County, Ontario. It stars a 13-year-old Macdonald in a quest to uncover the truth about two famous legends – that there might be treasure in a cave near the county's famous landmark, Lake on the Mountain, and that the lake itself is haunted.

Mulroney is the second prime minister to lend star power to the innovative series on teenage PMs, created by Fireside Publishing House. Former Prime Minister Paul Martin lent his name to Fireside's Early Adventure of Paul Martin contest, which offered the prize of a book publishing contract to a student. Fifteen-year-old Caroline Woodward won the contest and will pen an adventure about a teenage Martin.
