Raymond James, a financial services investment company, annually recognizes the top 10 percent of national community banks that are exchange traded, and between $500 million and $10 billion in assets, 302 banks in total. Raymond James considers five metrics for ranking the banks, including non-performing assets to loans and real estate owned, five-year average core deposit percentage, and return on average tangle common equity.
