BridgeHead HealthStore(TM) Helps Hospitals Extend Life of NetApp and Cisco FlexPod(R) Systems

ORLANDO, FL--(Marketwired - Feb 24, 2014) -  HIMSS -- BridgeHead Software, a leader in healthcare data management, today announced BridgeHead HealthStore for FlexPod, a new data archive offering that reduces costs and improves healthcare data management for hospitals. BridgeHead HealthStore extends the capability of Cisco and NetApp's FlexPod® Select, and leverages the BridgeHead Healthcare Data Management (HDM) software to add integrated archive for many healthcare applications including PACS and EMR. 

The HealthStore offering provides a flexible storage architecture for clinical and administrative data in hospitals. As part of the solution, active-archive allows hospitals to automatically identify and move static healthcare data within FlexPod Select and across NetApp's robust tiered storage including FAS and E-Series systems. These systems can be located in a hospital's primary data center, in remote sites, and also in a hosted cloud.

The HealthStore approach protects hospital data with point-in-time copies, which facilitating aggressive retention policies on the main storage. Archived data can be seamlessly retrieved by hospital applications and, because of BridgeHead's integration with NetApp's tiered storage capabilities and its knowledge of how those applications operate, hospital workflow remains highly responsive and supportive to clinical requirements.
