Bridgewater State University Engages Wolf & Company as Its External Auditor

BOSTON, MA--(Marketwire - Nov 1, 2011) - Wolf & Company, P.C., one of Boston's leading accounting, assurance, tax, risk management and business consulting firms, has been selected by Bridgewater State University as its external auditor.

"Bridgewater is very pleased to have the opportunity to work with Wolf & Company," said Darlene Costa-Brown, Associate Vice President for Finance at Bridgewater State University. "Wolf has an excellent reputation for the quality of their work in higher education. And I have had the opportunity to work with Lisa Wills prior to this engagement, and she is one of the top auditors in the field."

Lisa Wills, Principal at Wolf & Company, is heading the company's growing higher education practice. Wills has over 20 years of experience in providing professional services to educational institutions and not-for-profit organizations. Lisa's audit experience includes audits of financial statements and federal and state grant compliance, Massachusetts Office of Student Financial Assistance attestation examinations, NCAA audits and agreed-upon procedures engagements, and tax-exempt bond offerings and related due diligence procedures. She will lead the audit team serving Bridgewater State University.

"In the past few years, I've seen growing commitment to transparency among colleges and universities," said Wills. "Higher educational institutions are under increasing pressure in this tight fiscal environment to demonstrate to students, parents, donors, and state and federal authorities that they are carefully managing their resources. Wolf's auditing team understands this challenging environment and pride ourselves on conducting audits that can withstand any level of scrutiny," said Wills.
