BrightRoll Bolsters Leadership Team With Addition of Advertising Industry Veterans to Advance Technology and Maintain Rapid Growth

Key Additions and Promotion Accelerate Industry Leadership and Advancement Into New Markets

SAN FRANCISCO, CA--(Marketwire - January 19, 2011) - BrightRoll, the leading provider of online video advertising services, today announced that it has added advertising veterans Dan Mosher and Tim Avila to its senior leadership team, and promoted director of network development Craig Whitmer to senior director, BrightRoll Exchange. Avila joins BrightRoll as vice president of product marketing and Mosher joins as vice president of mobile and network development. Their combined industry experience will help propel the company into the next phase of its development, thus expanding its suite of offerings for advertisers seeking to execute online video campaigns at massive scale across the Web's leading destinations.

Avila brings 15 years of product strategy and marketing experience to BrightRoll. He most recently served as director of performance display at Yahoo!, where he oversaw strategic positioning efforts for the company's Right Media Exchange and data and analytics products. Prior to this, he led the product marketing for Yahoo's online video ad-serving platform. Avila also previously served as co-chair of the IAB Digital Video Committee where he spearheaded efforts to develop the industry's first video ad format and ad-serving standards. At BrightRoll, Avila will be responsible for shaping the overall marketing strategy for BRX, BrightRoll's online video ad-buying platform, while driving further customer adoption and strategic industry partnerships.

Mosher has held multiple executive positions at a number of fast-growth companies, most recently serving as chief financial officer and business development executive of electric vehicle start up Coda Automotive. BrightRoll clients will benefit from his extensive experience in the mobile space, including roles as senior vice president of operations, marketing and business development for mobile advertising optimization firm AdMarvel and managing VeriSign's mobile content services efforts in North America. At BrightRoll, Mosher will focus on building mobile partnerships and expanding access to mobile inventory on the company's online video advertising network.

Whitmer has been promoted to senior director of network development and will continue to build on his successes at BrightRoll since joining the company in May 2010. Prior to BrightRoll, Craig served as senior manager of network ad sales at Amazon.com and both helped launch and run the display business for the company on a global level. Since coming on board as director of network development of BrightRoll, Whitmer supported the successful launch of BRX, which saw more than $4 million in video advertising inventory purchased in December 2010 alone. Whitmer has built a strong Network Development team committed to supporting third-party buyers, and with the help of both Avila and Mosher, he will continue to drive the success of BRX, building out both the business and technology of the platform, including mobile capabilities.

"BrightRoll is in the midst of a period of tremendous growth, and adding seasoned leaders like Tim, Dan and Craig to our executive team allows to maintain that growth, while positioning us for future success," said BrightRoll CEO Tod Sacerdoti. "We've already seen significant traction with the BRX platform and mobile video inventory we announced in 2010, and building out our executive team will enable us to spur further adoption in the marketplace."
