Brightstar's Subsidiary eSecuritel to Provide Device Protection Program for Cricket Communications

eSecuritel Will Offer Program to Cricket Customers in 35 States

ATLANTA, GA--(Marketwire - Feb 2, 2012) - eSecuritel, a Brightstar company, announced today that Cricket Communications, Inc. will offer for sale eSecuritel's device protection program to its subscribers across 35 states, starting in the second quarter, 2012.

Cricket, a leading provider of innovative and value-driven wireless services, chose the Brightstar subsidiary to provide device protection to its customers who pay in advance as well as those who purchase a prepaid block of days or minutes, under its Cricket PAYGo program. The eSecuritel program will protect a wide range of devices, including tablets, against loss, theft, damage, malfunction and issues experienced beyond the handset manufacturer's conventional warranty. It is expected to be available through all Cricket distribution points.
