Bristol Rejects 50-Megawatt Biomass Plant, an Industrial Info News Alert

GALWAY, IRELAND--(Marketwire - March 8, 2010) -  Written by Martin Lynch, European News Editor for Industrial Info (Galway, Ireland) -- Plans for a 50-megawatt (MW) biomass plant in Bristol, England have been shot down by the local council, despite support from council planners. The £70 million ($105.7 million) plant would have generated enough electricity to power more than 25,000 homes, but the council rejected the plans from W4B Limited (Salisbury, England) on the grounds of sustainability.
