BRIT Systems Leverages Fovia's Powerful Advanced Visualization SDK

Embedded High Definition Volume Rendering(R) Provides Web-Based 3D

PALO ALTO, CA and DALLAS, TX--(Marketwire - May 19, 2011) - Fovia Medical, Inc., a world leader in volume rendering technology, and BRIT Systems, a leading provider of PACS, RIS and teleradiology products, announced today that BRIT Systems will natively integrate Fovia's High Definition Volume Rendering® technology in all of the company's image viewers and PACS workstations. Through BRIT Systems' browser-based viewing technology, clinicians will have 24-hour remote access to interactive advanced visualization.

Fovia's HDVR® engine allows BRIT to deliver high performance 3D imaging on all of its platforms (Windows, Mac, and Linux), locally or via the web. With this seamless integration, BRIT will take advantage of Fovia's scalable, CPU-based, HDVR software solution to deliver cost-effective advanced visualization to its customers, while maintaining maximum flexibility to respond to the changing demands of the medical market.

"By utilizing Fovia's powerful HDVR toolkit, BRIT can rapidly develop high value tools for the 3D marketplace, such as vessel analysis," said Shelly Fisher, President of BRIT Systems. "My team has been very enthusiastic about High Definition Volume Rendering: providing 3D visualization and specialty applications to all healthcare providers. We believe this partnership with Fovia will catapult the value of diagnostic imaging in our industry."

Ken Fineman, Chief Executive Officer of Fovia, stated, "We are thrilled to have a partner as customer-centric as BRIT Systems. BRIT's reputation for delivering custom solutions and its motto of 'any image, anywhere, anytime' make BRIT ideally suited for our HDVR technology. We look forward to BRIT successfully leveraging our software engine to meet the ever-changing needs of its customers."

BRIT's Vision Viewer, PACSView, BRIT Lite, and WebWorks (a browser based viewer) will utilize HDVR transparently, offering game changing access to advanced visualization with unprecedented workflow gains. Not only will medical imaging specialists be able to view their data anytime and anywhere, but they will be able to view extremely large data sets interactively, in real time with unparalleled quality and performance -- all using off-the-shelf hardware without expensive graphics cards. BRIT will be unveiling a Vision Viewer prototype powered by HDVR at SIIM this year, showcasing their new, embedded 3D functionality.
