Britannica Resources Corp.: Drilling Begins on the McKenzie Break Project

VAL D'OR, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Nov. 23, 2007) - Britannica Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BRR) is pleased to announce that its Fall/Winter diamond drilling program is underway on its McKenzie Break Project, located 35 km north of Val d'Or within a well known gold and base metal mining District in the province of Quebec.

Following the positive results of its initial drilling campaign (May 2007) which was oriented at detailing and extending the main gold bearing structures already known on the block of claims acquired from Wesdome Gold Mines, Britannica plans to complete an additional 3,500 meters by the end of 2007 on its 5,000 meters Fall/Winter diamond drilling program.

The Fall/Winter drilling program is centered on new targets which resulted from a detailed compilation of all previous information. These new targets when confirmed by the present drilling will certainly add to the potential of the property, being located outside the area where a resources estimate has been completed by Western Quebec Mines in 1994 (see NI 43-101 report filed on SEDAR).

The first two holes of the present campaign (MK-07-120 & 121) are located 10 meters away, on both sides east and west, of a drill intersection within hole 401A-07 completed by Placer Dome in August 1990. This hole was drilled at -53 degrees, azimuth 270 degrees on line 30+00N and intersected the following:

This gold bearing zone within hole 401A-07 has been described as: "from 230.79m to 231.46m, 5% by volume of quartz veinlets with at least 7 grains of visible gold (VG), veinlets are oriented at 80 degrees to core axis (fairly perpendicular to core axis) and parallel to local foliation. The host rock to this mineralized zone is a sheared diorite carbonated and silicified". Holes MK-07-120 & 121 will be drilled vertical and the target is located roughly 183 meters below surface.

Holes MK-07-122 & 123 have been spotted about 90 meters to the south east of MK-07-120 & 121, on a similar gold bearing intersection within hole WD-04103 drilled by Wesdome in 2004. This hole was oriented at azimuth 270 degrees with a dip of -75 degrees and a mineralized section was cut at 207.5m along the hole and was described as: "quartz vein at 207.75m to 207.90m oriented at 85 degrees CA, greenish colour with VG, 1% to 2% associated pyrite. Other gold values are associated to chloritic + foliated diorite with minor silicification, rock is variably magnetic". This section returned the following results:

The old grid lines are being refreshed (35 km) and numerous old casing have been located. Most of the previous diamond drill holes have been surveyed and makes it fairly easy to locate new drill holes.

The diamond drilling and exploration programs are being carried out under the direct supervision of C.P. Larouche, Ing., a qualified person for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101. The Company maintains strict standards for QA (quality assurance) and QC (quality control), by keeping under lock all drill cores, rejects and pulps for further testing. Samples are being sent to ALS Chemex labs and Bourlamaque Assay Laboratories in Val d'Or, Quebec.

The information contained in this news release has been compiled, reviewed and verified by C. P. Larouche, Ing., the qualified person to the Company. This news release may contain certain forward-looking statements. These statements may involve a number of known risks and uncertainties, typical to mineral exploration and development companies, and other factors that may cause the actual results, level of activities and performance to be materially different from Company's expectation and projection.
