Britannica Resources Corp.: JAG Property Drill Results

VAL D'OR, QUEBEC--(Marketwire - Sept. 12, 2007) - Britannica Resources Corp. (TSX VENTURE:BRR) (The "Company") is pleased to announce diamond drill results from the JAG property. The Company has an option to earn a 51% interest in the JAG property from Les Mines JAG Ltee. The JAG property is located in Malartic Township in northwestern Quebec, between Val d'Or and Rouyn - Noranda.

A 2001 linear meters 15-drill hole program was completed in May 2007 on the JAG property. The program successfully intersected alteration and mineralized zones previously encountered in earlier drilling.

The possible lateral extensions of the "Malrobic" Zone was the main target of this drilling campaign. Holes BM-07-108 to -114 and BM-07-121, -122 were drilled as recommended when historical resource estimate (Technical Report filed on SEDAR) was completed, in order to probe lateral extensions. The alteration zone was encountered and usually returned anomalous gold values (less than 0.50 g/t Au). Better values were intersected in holes BM-07-109, -112 and -121, and are associated to alteration, quartz flooding and sulphides. The gold mineralization intersected by recent drilling on the JAG property compares favourably to the new gold discovery made by Britannica on the adjacent Revillard property (news release January 30, 2007).

Parallel gold zones (ASPY-1 and ASPY-2) identified south of the main Malrobic Zone, within the previous drilling, were also investigated with 6 holes (BM-07-115 to -120). Gold values were intersected and these structures remain open for further detail.

-The gold-bearing structures vary in attitude and true width is approximately 71% of core length.

The Company is encouraged by these results which indicate the potential for finding gold mineralization of economic interest associated to silicified-alreted-pyritized zones of shearing within the Blake River Group volcanics.

The diamond drilling and exploration programs are being carried out under the direct supervision of C. P Larouche, Ing., a qualified person for the purposes of National Instrument 43-101. The company has maintained strict standards for QA (quality assurance) and QC (quality control), by keeping under lock all drill core, rejects and pulps for further testing. Samples were sent to ALS Chemex labs in Val d'Or, Quebec.

The information contained in this news release has been compiled, reviewed and verified by C. P. Larouche, Ing., the qualified person to the Company. This news release may contain certain forward looking statements. These statements may involve a number of known risks and uncertainties, typical to mineral exploration and development companies, and other factors that may cause the actual results, level of activities and performance to be materially different from Company's expectation and projection.
