British Columbia Lottery Corporation: Langley Woman Visits Prince George, Wins Tickets to 2010 Winter Games

RICHMOND, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 11, 2008) - A Langley woman is the proud winner of two tickets to the gold medal figure skating competition at the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Winter Games.

Mavis Chisholm purchased SportsFunder's Gold Medal Figure Skating ticket at a gas station in Prince George while passing through on vacation, and discovered she had won during her journey home.

"This is so exciting," enthused Mavis, who claims she has not yet decided with whom she will share the once-in-a-lifetime experience. "The only thing I can compare it to is Expo '86; it's going to be the most memorable event I've ever attended."

Despite the win, Chisholm announced she will keep buying SportsFunder tickets.

"My husband wants hockey tickets, he's going to keep playing till he wins and then we can go to both events."

Currently, the only way to get Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games tickets is to win through playing SportsFunder lottery games. There are two SportsFunder games with opportunities to win tickets to the 2010 Winter Games, including the Gold Medal Hockey and Gold Medal Figure Skating.

Proceeds from the sale of SportsFunder lottery games support amateur sports in B.C. through KidSport™, Team BC, Youth Sport Travel Assistance, and Coach and Leadership Development.
