British Columbia Securities Commission: TMX/LSE Withdraw Application Related to Proposed Merger

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA and CALGARY, ALBERTA--(Marketwire - June 30, 2011) - On June 29, 2011, the TMX Group Inc. and London Stock Exchange Group plc withdrew their applications to the British Columbia Securities Commission (BCSC) and the Alberta Securities Commission (ASC) to amend the TSX-Venture Exchange's recognition orders in B.C. and Alberta.

The B.C. Securities Commission is the independent provincial government agency responsible for regulating trading in securities within the province.

The ASC is the regulatory agency responsible for administering the province's securities laws. It is entrusted to foster a fair and efficient capital market in Alberta and to protect investors.
