Broadcast International to Launch LiveCaster Product Line at NAB

Turnkey Solution for Live and On-Demand Streaming Is Powered by CodecSys

SALT LAKE CITY, UT -- (MARKET WIRE) -- April 5, 2007 -- Broadcast International (OTCBB: BCST) ("BI") today announced that it will introduce its line of streaming products at the National Association of Broadcasters (NAB) Expo in Las Vegas, April 16-19, 2007. The LiveCaster family of products will enable customers to stream their video content live or on demand to an unlimited number of viewers over the Internet.

The product line consists of the LiveCaster LC500, a stand-alone A/V server that streams real-time, high-quality video over IP networks; the optional LiveViewer LV300, which can convert the stream received from a LC500 for delivery over a video distribution network or for viewing on a television; and the LiveViewer Player Software, a software download that enables viewing on Windows-based PCs. The turnkey LiveCaster solution also includes the services of a content delivery network (CDN) which can be bundled into a single-source package offering. Although not for sale as a stand-alone product, the LiveCaster LC100 is our entry-level streaming video server that is only offered as part of a total solution and simply included in the usage fees.

"LiveCaster offers an affordable solution for any organization that would benefit from being able to stream video -- no matter the number of locations or the size of the budget," said Rod Tiede, Broadcast International President and CEO. "While the prices of these products are attractive, whether sold off-the-shelf or as part of a complete solution, the video quality is exceptional -- thanks to our CodecSys compression technology. Viewers will experience surprisingly good, full-screen video even on DSL connections."

Potential users who will likely find immediate applications for the LiveCaster products and services include: businesses, schools/educational institutions, religious organizations, government bodies -- particularly state/local, healthcare providers, and athletic teams/leagues.

Live demonstrations featuring the new LiveCaster solution will be shown in Broadcast International's booth number C3336 in the Central Hall of the Las Vegas Convention Center.
