DENVER, CO--(Marketwire - March 14, 2011) - At CTIA Wireless 2011, BroadHop, Inc., the leader in next generation policy control platforms for telecom operators, will debate "Policy Management in the 4G Era: What, Where & How" with Sandvine, Ericsson and Bridgewater Systems in a highly interactive Light Reading Live panel session.

BroadHop's CEO and President, Bill Diotte joins moderator Patrick Donegan, Senior Analyst, Heavy Reading, and industry veterans Don Bowman, Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer, Sandvine and Steven Mueller, Strategic Product Manager, IP & Broadband, Ericsson and Edwin Gans, Director of Product Line Management, Bridgewater Systems, for a discussion on the role and significance of policy as 4G is rolled out by mobile operators.

Panelists will debate the issues and ask where central policy management will have the biggest impact and how it will affect the way the policy platform is implemented and architected.

"High scalability and performance are critical to the mobile core control plane system ability to drive competitive advantage in 4G/LTE networks," said Bill Diotte. "In order to earn mobile operator confidence, policy vendors have to demonstrate carrier class performance at large scale and demonstrate the ability to deliver capabilities such as highly personalized subscriber service selection, bandwidth and content optimization, and the many more value added services that 4G networks and customers will require."
