BroadLogic Expands Global Footprint With Opening of a China Development Center
Company Responds to Rapid Growth in New Broadband-Based Services With Facility That Will Reduce Product Design Cycle and Provide Entry to New Markets
| Source: BroadLogic Network Technologies
SAN JOSE, CA--(Marketwire - March 11, 2008) - BroadLogic Network Technologies, a leading
provider of silicon solutions for broadband networks, today announced the
BroadLogic Development Center, a new facility in Beijing that will expand
the company's engineering capabilities. The addition of key engineering
resources and talent in the development center will enable the company to
rapidly respond to strong market growth and demand for BroadLogic's silicon
based high performance video processing and QAM demodulation solutions for
advanced broadband networks. The BroadLogic Development Center will allow
BroadLogic and its customers to deliver new products to assist the multiple
system operators (MSO) community to continue the transition to "all
digital" networks.
The demand for video processing technologies continues to increase rapidly
as MSOs seek ways to migrate towards an all digital network. BroadLogic's
silicon solutions enable operators to efficiently reclaim precious network
bandwidth while at the same time enabling faster speeds for video and data
processing, allowing for enhanced service offerings.
Companies like BroadLogic are critical to satisfying this demand and
helping MSOs deliver new, competitive services into the market. The new
engineering resources in China augment the BroadLogic development team in
the U.S. The BroadLogic Development Center will accelerate adoption of
products by increasing silicon and reference board development capabilities
and reducing average design cycle times.
"We are still just at the beginning of the transformation in what services
MSOs offer and how they deliver them," said Danial Faizullabhoy, president
and CEO of BroadLogic. "As the market for digital video and high-speed data
services continues to expand, BroadLogic's technology will help MSOs make
the transformation faster and more effectively than any other solution.
BroadLogic remains committed to putting in place all the resources it needs
to stay ahead of a fast-growing and very dynamic market."
"China offers highly qualified and dedicated engineers who will be
instrumental in our go-to-market strategy in the coming months and years,"
said Weimin Zhang, CTO and vice president of engineering of BroadLogic. "We
will continue to add resources at this new facility to ensure BroadLogic
will stay ahead of market demand."
The BroadLogic Development Center is wholly owned by BroadLogic. BroadLogic
engineering and development is distributed between its headquarters in San
Jose and the new center in Beijing.
