BroadSoft Opens New Operations Centre in Australia

Facility to Deliver In-Region Technical Support and Training Services to Asia-Pacific Service Providers and Global VoIP Customers

SYDNEY, AUSTRALIA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- May 3, 2007 -- BroadSoft, Inc., a leading provider of VoIP application software, today announced that it is opening an Asia-Pacific operations centre in Sydney to provide in-region technical assistance and training to Asia-Pacific telecommunications service providers. BroadSoft also announced a new sales office in Malaysia.

The opening of the BroadSoft APAC Operations Centre comes just six months after BroadSoft opened its European Operations Centre in Belfast, Northern Ireland. The new APAC centre complements BroadSoft's EMEA- and North America-based operations centres that provide technical support to BroadSoft's global customers on a follow-the-sun basis.

The BroadSoft APAC Operations Centre will provide training, professional services, and in-region technical support to APAC service provider customers that use BroadSoft's BroadWorks® VoIP and IMS platform. The operations centre will be co-located with BroadSoft's Sydney-based Research and Development unit.

Also, BroadSoft has opened a sales office in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, a market BroadSoft has served since 2003.

"BroadSoft's Asia-Pacific markets are rapidly adopting the BroadWorks® platform for Hosted PBX, Business Trunking, Mobile and converged VoIP solutions," said Geoffrey K. Hicks, vice president of Operations for BroadSoft. "By collocating the new operations centre with our existing Research and Development engineering unit and a training facility, we've brought some of the industry's brightest talent together in one regional site to ensure our customers in the Asia-Pacific region receive the best support possible."

"This new operations centre is evidence of BroadSoft's commitment to the success of its service provider customers in the Asia-Pacific region," said Simon Hackett, managing director of Internode, which delivers its BroadWorks-based NodePhone2 voice service to business and residential customers across Australia.
