BroadSoft Selected to Deliver CYTA's New Broadband Telephony and IP Centrex Services

GAITHERSBURG, MD--(Marketwire - September 16, 2009) - BroadSoft, Inc., the worldwide leader of VoIP applications, today announced that CYTA, a leading provider of integrated electronic communications services in Cyprus, deploys BroadSoft's IMS-based Broadband Telephony (BBT) and IP Centrex services, under the umbrella of Fixed Mobile Convergent (FMC) services to its customers in Cyprus and in Greece via its subsidiary Cyta Hellas.

CYTA (Cyprus Telecommunication Authority) is the national telecommunications provider of Cyprus and the main operator of phone, internet and mobile communications in Cyprus. Launched in August 2008 to CYTA's broadband residential customers, BBT aims to personalize users' communication experience by offering:

--  up to four additional telephone numbers, so that every member of the
    family can have his/her own personal fixed number
--  the capability to make voice and video calls via the computer, as well
    as via video phones
--  all supplementary telephony features that can be offered by the legacy
    PSTN/ISDN network, such as caller ID, call forwarding, call hold, call
    barrings, etc.
--  the capability to manage via the Web supplementary telephony services
    such as call forwarding, call rejection, the activation of distinctive
    ringing tone, etc.
    

The IP Centrex service, scheduled for deployment in autumn 2009, will be provided as a hosted PBX service, targeting small, medium and large enterprises.
