BroadWare Appoints Government Systems and Alliance Partnership Veteran as Vice President of State and Local Business

Robin K. Porter Previously Held Business Development, Major Accounts, Finance and Administration Positions at Northrop Grumman, Siemens, Atari, Zilog, Univac and Other Leading Technology Companies

CUPERTINO, CA -- (MARKET WIRE) -- June 22, 2005 -- BroadWare Technologies, Inc., the leader in distributed video surveillance, has announced the appointment of Robin (Rob) K. Porter as Vice President of State and Local Business. Porter brings more than 30 years of high-technology business development, sales management and finance experience to BroadWare, and will be responsible for driving the company's growth within government and commercial video surveillance markets.

Porter previously filled various government systems and major accounts management, business development, finance and administration positions with Northrop Grumman, Siemens ICN, Motorola, Banctec and Univac. Most recently, he worked at Northrop Grumman Information Technology in San Jose, where he was Business Development and Alliance Partner Manager for the Western Region. Prior to that, at Siemens ICN in San Ramon, CA, Porter was Director of Strategic Alliances and Major Accounts. Earlier in his career, he served as Director of Operations for the Motorola Computing Systems Division in Cupertino and Director of Finance Administration at Zilog, also in Cupertino. He currently resides with his family in the San Jose / San Francisco Bay area.

"Rob Porter brings to BroadWare extensive corporate management experience and a depth of knowledge in working with video surveillance systems integrators and technology partners serving state and local governments and commercial customers," said Bill Stuntz, CEO of BroadWare. "At Northrop Grumman, a BroadWare partner, Rob sold and supported BroadWare's products, and thus possesses strong field experience and unique market-specific knowledge of BroadWare's technology solutions, partner network and core customer base."

BroadWare develops and markets a suite of server-based technologies for management, distribution and storage of video surveillance data in network environments. This includes the BroadWare Media Platform, an enterprise network video solution that enables local and remote access and unlimited archiving of any camera on a network over wired, wireless and low-bandwidth connections. The open architecture of the BroadWare Media Platform allows system integrators to deploy commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) applications and leverage new video surveillance technologies as soon as they become available.

"Northrop Grumman is a great company, and my years there were very satisfying on both a personal and professional level. At Northrop Grumman I had an opportunity to personally witness how BroadWare's technologies have evolved to become ideally suited for integrators who specialize in delivering digital video surveillance solutions into a variety of public sector and commercial markets," Porter said. "Financial analysts and technology analysts agree that the video surveillance industry will experience high growth during 2005 and 2006 with spending levels already increasing rapidly for digital video and related technologies. I'm enthusiastic and confident that BroadWare is well-positioned to be a major participant in this new market growth."
