Files Final Prospectus

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(CCNMatthews - Feb. 28, 2005) - Brompton Advantaged
Equal Weight Oil & Gas Income Fund is pleased to announce that it has
filed and obtained a receipt for a Final Prospectus dated February 24,
2005 relating to its initial public offering of trust units. The minimum
amount of the offering is $125 million and the maximum amount is $350
million. Closing is scheduled for March 17, 2005.

The Fund's investment objectives are to provide unitholders with the
benefits of high monthly tax advantaged cash distributions and low
management fees together with the opportunity for capital appreciation
based on the performance of an equally weighted diversified portfolio of
oil and gas income trusts. The Fund will enter into a Forward Agreement
which results in a significant portion of the Fund's distributions
consisting of return of capital for tax purposes.

The return on the Fund will be dependent upon a portfolio which will
comprise an approximate equal dollar amount of each oil and gas income
trust listed on the TSX having a market capitalization of at least $500
million and which pays a regular distribution. As at February 21, 2005,
there were 25 qualifying income trusts which represented approximately
94% of the market capitalization of all oil and gas income trusts listed
on the TSX.

The Toronto Stock Exchange has conditionally approved the listing of the
Fund's units, subject to the Fund fulfilling all of its requirements.
Trading of the units under the symbol AOG.UN is scheduled to commence on
the date of closing.
