NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire - September 17, 2009) - Bronstein, Gewirtz & Grossman, LLC announces that a class action has been filed in the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia on behalf of those who purchased or otherwise acquired stock of Immucor, Inc. ("Immucor" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: BLUD), during the period from October 19, 2005 through and including April 23, 2009 (the "Class Period").

The Complaint charges that defendant violated the Securities and Exchange Act of 1934 by failing to disclose that the Company was operating in violation of the federal antitrust laws of the United States. Immucor issued a press release on April 24, 2009, announcing that it had received a subpoena from the United States Department of Justice, Antitrust Division, pertaining to an investigation of possible violation of the federal criminal antitrust laws in the blood reagents industry. On this news, Immucor's stock price dropped from $20.98 on April 23, 2009 to $15.35 on the next trading day.
