Brookfield Asset Management Inc. Acquires Additional Shares in Norbord Inc.

TORONTO, CANADA--(Marketwire - Sept. 19, 2007) - Brookfield Asset Management (TSX:BAM)(NYSE:BAM) today announced that it has acquired 3,250,000 common shares of Norbord Inc. (TSX:NBD), through its subsidiary Brascade Corporation. This acquisition brings the total number of shares beneficially owned by Brookfield to 58,703,575, which represents 40% of the outstanding common shares of Norbord.

The purchases were made through the facilities of the Toronto Stock Exchange and the shares were acquired for investment purposes.
