Brookfield Renewable Power Inc. Completes $354 Million Project Financing for 166 MW Comber Wind Farm

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwire - Oct. 12, 2010) - Brookfield Renewable Power Inc. announced today that it has completed a CAD$354 million project financing in connection with its Comber Wind project in Essex County in southwestern Ontario. The project recently began construction and is expected to enter commercial operation in fall 2011.

Financing for the 3-year construction credit facility was provided by Co-Lead Arrangers The Bank of Nova Scotia and The Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd. (lending through its subsidiary Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ (Canada)), as well as Canadian Imperial Bank of Commerce, Mizuho Corporate Bank, Ltd., Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corp of Canada, and National Bank Financial Group.
